Their species are a result of natural, advanced biotechnology that shaped them into something more than just normal animals. Each species within the Felvar group has its own DNA patterns.
Felidran
(Derived from felines):
Felidran is the cat-based humanoid species within the Felvars. However, they are not as animal-like as one might expect from their name. They don’t have whiskers or paws.
They evolved from feline DNA, and are more independent, often self-reliance over pack-oriented dynamics. The more community-driven mindset of the Lupiran leads to misunderstanding the Lupiran's more primal instincts usually, which makes it difficult for them to trust or get along with the Lupiran.
This perception causes distance, as Felidran often believes Lupiran are closer to wild wolves than sentient beings, an assumption that Lupiran finds offensive.
Canidren
(Derived from dogs):
The Canidren species is based on canine traits, but, again, these beings are not animal-like.
Lupiran and Canidren have a close, connected relationship. Both species share a deep-rooted origin in the canine family, fostering a strong sense of kinship.
Lupiran
(Derived from wolves):
Lupethic are the wolf-based species of Felvars, they are slightly larger than the other species.
Lupiran understand why they are misunderstood and don’t blame the Felidran for their wariness. They also know that these assumptions aren’t true; they have evolved far beyond the behavior of normal wolves, and they would never act in such a primal way. While some Lupiran try to get along with others despite these judgments, others prefer to keep their distance rather than deal with the stereotypes.
Aviaren
(Derived from birds):
Aviarens are a bird-based humanoid species. Unlike birds, they have wings on their back.
Avianthrop schools feature flying sports as part of their curriculum, where they learn the proper techniques and safety protocols for flying.
For those who struggle with flying, they may decide in favor of something for additional training. While some might receive guidance from their families or attempt to teach themselves, self-learning can be risky. Without proper instruction, accidents can happen, sometimes leading to serious injury or even death, due to the inherent dangers of flying without supervision.
Not all Aviaren are born with the ability to fly. Some may be unable to fly due to physical limitations or disabilities. For those who can't naturally develop the skill, flying education is not mandatory. Some might choose to undergo wing surgery to repair or augment their wings to make flight possible. However, this is an elective option, and not all Aviaren choose to pursue it.
Hydranid
(Mixed species):
In often cases, the genetic makeup of a Felvar may become mixed, creating a new hybrid species known as Hydranid. These beings are often a blend of two or more Felvar species.
Hydranid can possess multiple traits of each species, some are subtle in appearance and some can be considered unusual. Like human genetic mutations, Hydranid can possess certain types of genetic rarity as well.
