He's Timothy's twin brother.
He's presumed dead after disappearing without a trace during their childhood.
Timothy has no idea he has a twin. When Michael vanished, the trauma nearly killed Timothy. Because the brothers shared a powerful empathic connection, Timothy experienced all of that agony, which triggered amnesia and erased Michael from his memory.
Now, Michael alone retains full memory.

He occupies a new form, retaining severe memories, and actively investigates his own murder, hunting for clues regarding how he died and the identity of the perpetrator.
He exists on the other side of the glass, trapped inside a desolate dimension known as the Mirror World. The only escape requires physical contact with Timothy. If their hands press against the mirror from both sides, a swap occurs, allowing Michael to cross over, suppress Timothy, and assume control through a darker persona.
Yet, Michael remains deeply conflicted about stealing his brother's life.

He previously had a body that no longer exists. He also possesses a shadow demon form, which he uses when no one is around. His current body, which closely resembles Timothy's, is mainly used for interacting through reflections.

Michael has no real relationship with Timothy's parents. He doesn't know how to act like a son and actively avoids physical affection.
They don't remember their birth name and only learns it later from Peter.
When emotional, they rarely speak. Instead of responding verbally, they often nod, make small sounds like "huh-uh", or stay silent, especially around Timothy's parents.
He tends to crack his knuckles or clench his fists when angry.
If someone criticizes Timothy, Michael takes it personally, even when Timothy doesn't react at all.
As a kid
Fiercely protective and sometimes overbearing, he's the first one to jump in and defend Timothy or other younger kids, even if it means getting in trouble. His protectiveness often turns into physical aggression, like pushing, shoving, or yelling at bullies, as if he believes it's his job to shield his brother from everything. He has a serious problem controlling his temper and reacts fast.
He wants to be seen as the strong one in the family, covering up his fear or hurt with bravado and cockiness. He's the type to glare down bullies and talk back to adults, hating the feeling of being powerless or being told what to do. Occasionally, he can be gentle or tender, but only in rare, private moments when Timothy is really scared.
He often demands silence or secrecy from his brother, not to be mean, but because he thinks it's the only way to keep them both safe.
As an adult
Charismatic, assertive, and commanding, he still defends his loved ones fiercely but is much more strategic about it. He uses intimidation and calculated actions rather than just jumping into a fight. He remains deeply independent and self-reliant, still reluctant to trust authority. He prefers to handle every problem his own way and can be incredibly stubborn once his mind is set.
He's still haunted by trauma and guilt from his past, making him emotionally guarded and impulsive when he's angry. He struggles to show any kind of vulnerability and deals with his pain alone, only opening up with raw honesty to a select very few people. He's capable of being gentle, but usually only when no one else is watching. He expresses all his care through actions instead of words, staying loyal to a fault even while he pushes people away.
Relationships with Timothy
He made a choice to stick by Timothy, stepping in to offer help whenever Timothy feels down. He poses as Timothy's own reflection or an alter ego, talking to him through the mirror about totally normal stuff, so Timothy doesn't suspect a thing. Timothy has no idea that the helpful voice in the glass is actually his twin brother.
He sticks to talking through the mirror instead of showing up in person, but nobody really knows why he prefers it that way. Inside, he's carrying a lot of sadness because Timothy doesn't know who he really is, and he blames himself for all the trouble Timothy has had to go through. Even with everything that happened in his past, Michael's constantly trying to be better because he just wants to protect and support his brother. Since they're brothers, Michael can still feel and understand everything Timothy thinks because of their empathic link.
This connection is deep... it lets Michael know exactly how Timothy's feeling or what's on his mind, even if Timothy's totally oblivious to it.

Relationships
Since Peter and he don't talk much, their relationship hasn't really changed over the years. He still sees Peter the same way he did when they were kids, keeping things simple and natural between them.
