In school, the two of them were classmates. William was struggling with heavy depression and decided to share his struggles with Timothy, receiving unexpected kindness and understanding in return.
That connection altered William's mindest, sparking an attraction where his genuine feelings conflict with his dark impulses.

William was an orphan whose biological family was untraceable completely.
As a child living on the streets, he managed to break away from a kidnapper, sprinting in a panic down a quiet alleyway. He burst out of the dark path and ran straight into a crowded public square outside, thankfully, the chase stopped when William ran into a kind woman standing nearby.
She looked after him during his early years at her house. Though she wasn't officially his adoptive parent, she gave him the name William Baxter, which he kept as his own. He was secretly receptive to her care and felt safest around her, yet he had no clue how to show it.
Too bad he was haunted by a mysterious red hallucination only he could see. Over the years, that corrupting entity fed him toxic thoughts and manipulated his traumas until he grew increasingly unstable. By his late teens, he ran away. He seriously thought it was the only way to protect the kind woman from the darkness inside him. She never stopped looking for him, but Will kept himself carefully hidden. He feels too ashamed and unworthy to ever go back home.
